Agrasen Jayanti Celebrations The birth anniversary of Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti is celebrated with full religious devotion on the 1st day of Navratri every year. . Many times Samaj also does the procession of Agrasen Maharaj Yatra in the Songadh town. Other dignitaries of Songadh also show their respect for Agrasen Maharaj by offering garland into the feel of deity. However, at Songadh Agrawal Samaj, the festival aura starts from a month ahead with various games for males, females, kids, etc. All have been eagerly waiting for the whole year to celebrate and participate in Agrasen Jayanti. For encouragement, winners are rewarded with prizes.
Whole Agrawal samaj tries to meet fourth night yearly i.e. Holi and Diwali through Sneh Milan program followed by dinner. Young one bow down and touch elders feet to seek blessing which actually represents our tradition and sanskar. Yuwas of Agrawal Samaj celebrates the festival of Colours “Holi” eco friendly with flowers and Gulal. Great time to show our culture and tradition. New members of the Samaj get a chance to introduce themselves with other members and actually have a feeling of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”
Every year, our community specially Yuwas of Agrawal Samaj celebrates the festival by the installation of Lord Ganesh's clay murtis in Bhavan. Pandals and other beautiful decorations make the festival glimmered. Every family gets a chance to do Aarti of Lord Ganesha for 10 days.
Offerings and prasāda from the daily prayers, that are distributed include sweets such as modaka as it is believed to be a favorite of Lord Ganesh.
Gangaur is one of the most important and colorful festivals. Married women worship Goddess Parvati for the longevity and good health of their husbands, whereas unmarried women worship the goddess to get a good husband. Also on teej Women fast on this festival for the well-being and long life of their husbands. All Women's and girls collect in the Bhavan and enjoy dance, game's and yummy food together and Enjoy a beautiful evening together
